Communication with Parents

At Parklands we make every effort to keep parents fully informed and involved - we warmly welcome parents into school. We offer many opportunities for formal and informal feedback and discussion including:

• Visits to Primary Schools to talk informally to parents and Year 5 & 6 pupils about transition to Parklands
• The publication of regular bulletins with information about what is happening at Parklands
• New notice boards in all Speke Primary Schools details all new initiatives and events at Parklands
• Parents’ evenings to provide a full update on your child’s progress and meet with subject teachers
• Open evenings, when work is on display and parents can chat informally with staff
• Achievement Evenings held in the Autumn Term to celebrate the achievement of individual students
• School performances and productions where parents are actively encouraged to attend and support the School
• Opportunities for volunteering including helping out with our Reading Enrichment Programme for students in Years 7 and 8
• Parents of Year 7 are invited to the School on Friday afternoons at 2pm to view the work of their children.
