Homework

At Parklands we believe that homework encourages self-discipline and independent study skills as well as reinforcing work covered in lessons. All students are expected to do homework and record it in their School Diary.

Parental Involvement

We ask that all parents monitor the amount of homework completed especially parents of pupils in years 7 and 8 as we ask them to sign the pupils school diary each week. The amount of homework expected will depend on the child’s ability and age. Students are encouraged to complete homework in the Learning Support Area before school, after school and during lunch hour. Learning Mentors and other staff are available to support our students at all times.
