Student Council

Parklands High School

The school believes that young people should play a big part in shaping their own environment and future. A Student Council operates in Parklands which meets once a fortnight to put forward and discuss issues which are of importance to the students. Now in its 15th year, it has tackled issues such as:

  • Setting up a senior school common room
  • Planning the external environment
  • Establishing links with other schools
  • The layout of the Student Diary
  • Setting up a Student Fund that can be used to buy things for the student body
  • Provision of notice boards for better communication
  • School uniform issues

The Council has also provided representatives who have served on the Speke Garston Partnership Youth Task Group.
